To accurately help doctoral students prepare for sponsored study abroad applications and international scientific research planning, on March 19, the Graduate Section of the Teaching Department and the Party Branch of Doctoral Students of the First Clinical Medical College of our University jointly held an experience sharing session on sponsored study abroad and internationalized training, with all doctoral students participating.

The meeting was presided over by Zhang Yaohong, Secretary of the Party Branch of Doctoral Students of the First Clinical Medical College. Focusing on the application of the 2026 National Postgraduate Program for Construction of High-Level Universities (CSC), she systematically explained the selection standards, application conditions, document lists, time nodes and in-hospital selection arrangements, interpreted in detail the establishment background and training objectives of the 2024 Outstanding Talent International Training Program (including special programs for Outstanding Physicians and Outstanding Engineers), and clearly sorted out the application connection directions of the two programs, helping doctoral students accurately grasp the core policies and key points of application.
Song Maomei, a doctoral student who returned from the 2024 Outstanding Talent International Training Program, gave a special experience sharing based on her own experience, focusing on the preparation of application materials for sponsored study abroad and key points of the whole application process. She introduced in detail the process of efficiently completing experiments by using cutting-edge scientific research technologies, platforms and advanced equipment in overseas laboratories, shared practical experience in exchanges and cooperation with foreign scientific research counterparts, and overseas study and life planning, fully demonstrating the gains and growth from studying abroad. The content was practical and inspiring, deeply enlightening all the students present.
In the interactive Q&A session, doctoral students actively asked questions and communicated, consulting in depth on application details, program connection, overseas study and life, scientific research development and other issues. Song Maomei and the participating teachers answered questions one by one and provided precise guidance, effectively clarifying the students' thinking and clarifying the direction of study abroad and scientific research planning. The atmosphere at the scene was warm.
Subsequently, Tian Jing, Deputy Chief of the Graduate Section, comprehensively sorted out the core content of the meeting, emphasized the key matters of sponsored program application and the significance of outstanding talent training in combination with relevant graduation requirements, and encouraged all doctoral students to actively prepare, scientifically plan their international scientific research careers, take the initiative to broaden their academic horizons and improve their scientific research capabilities.
This sharing session has effectively opened up the channel for policy transmission and experience sharing of sponsored study abroad. The Party Branch of Doctoral Students of the First Clinical Medical College will jointly continue to follow up the training of doctoral students with the Graduate Section, constantly deepen the construction of professional connotation, and help cultivate more high-quality international top talents.
