On the morning of October 19th, the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education held a 2020 University Scientific Research Laboratory Safety on-site inspection opening and training meeting in Beijing. The meeting was conducted through both live broadcast and online video. Our school set up branch venues in Zhongdu campus, Yingze campus, First Hospital, Second Hospital and other affiliated hospitals and more than 240 staff attended the meeting.

The meeting summarized the safety on-site inspections results of scientific research laboratories in colleges and universities from 2015 to 2019, and deployed the relevant work in 2020. The experts were invited to give reports on the laboratory safety management of provincial competent departments, the laboratory safety management practices of universities and safety theories.

DiaoHaipeng, the member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the school said the school would held a deployment meeting to further improve the laboratory safety system construction and safety inspection work in accordance with the spirit and requirements of the meeting. He pointed out that the staff in charge of the laboratory must attach great importance to laboratory safety work, take laboratory safety as a top priority, strengthen safety education and training, and improve relevant rules and regulations on the inspections of laboratory safety, and eliminate the potential safety hazards.
