On November 6th, the First Hospital and the German Acura Baden-Baden Hospital held a signing ceremony of "China cooperate with Germany to build a specialist for psychosomatic diseases". The director of the German Acura Baden-Baden Hospital, Chu Chengzhong, the deputy director of the Shanxi Provincial Health Committee, Zhang Bo, the president of the First Hospital, Wang Binquan, the security of the Party Committee of the Department, Liu Chun, the vice president and the director of the Mental Health Department, Xu Yong, managers of the Mental Department, the Personal Department, the four leading clinical departments of “136 project”, the Pain Department, the Rheumatology Department, the Oncology Department and the staff from the Mental Health Department attended the ceremony.
Wang Binquan, the president of the First Hospital first expressed his welcome and gratitude to the arriving experts and thanked the Shanxi Provincial Health and Wellness Committee for its support. He introduced the development history of the Mental Health Department of the First Hospital and represented that as one of the leading clinical departments of "136" project, the Mental Health Department has ranked among the top in the fields of medicine, education, research and comprehensive strength. He emphasized the long-term cooperation between the mental health department and the German hospital and set great expectations for it.
Zhang Bo, the deputy director of the Provincial Health Committee said that the signing of the cooperation framework agreement marked that the cooperation between the two hospitals has entered a substantive stage. He suggested that the two schools should take full advantages of the school strengths and promote the deeply cooperation in mental health between China and Germany with broader mind and vision. In that case, people of Shanxi Province will truly enjoy medical services of international standards.
Mr. Chu Chengzhong, the director of the Acura Baden-Baden Hospital gave a brief introduction to the hospital's long history and comprehensive strength. Acura Hospital of Germany is a teaching hospital of the School of Medicine in Heidelberg University. It was established in 1914 and is a comprehensive hospital integrating clinic, teaching, scientific research and rehabilitation. With a high reputation among international patients, it was honored as one of the 50 best hospitals in Germany. Mr. Chu expected that with this cooperation as an opportunity, the two hospitals would have further cooperation in the future.
The signing of the cooperation agreement is a precursor to carry out international medical cooperation and explore a new model of international medical services. It aims to further implement the “136 medical project” and is a strategic measure to comprehensively improve the diagnosis and treatment level, scientific research ability, and talent reserve of the mental health department of the First Hospital. It will certainly promote the rise of integral medical level of the mental health department of Shanxi Province.
