The School of International Education organized the third activity——Stepping into the Taiyuan Museum aimed at making international students closely experience the charm of the traditional Chinese culture. This event is one of “the Eastern Wind Blows” series activities, designed for International students of SXMU.International students visited “Mien of the Forbidden City —— 2018 exhibition of cultural relics from Taiyuan and the Palace Museum” and part of the precious cultural relics from the Palace Museum ,which enhanced their comprehension and broadened their horizons by visiting the Museum.

The exhibition was divided into seven parts, which presented more than 1000 cultural relics from the Palace Museum, including architectures, enamels, porcelains, old photos, paintings and calligraphy. All of these showed the artistic achievements of modern China.

After appreciating these cultural relics, they actively joined the interactive experience, including the program “DIY the imperial cuisine”, which make students experience the pleasure of doing it. The “taking old photos” activity was also popular among them that many students took precious group photos combined the Chinese and western elements.

This trip not only presented the rich historical and cultural heritage to International students, but also inspired their wishes to deeply understand the Chinese culture. Although they come from different countries with various cultural backgrounds, they all show the great interest in marvelous Chinese culture. By organizing fruitful activities, the School of International Education endeavors to build a platform for equal exchanges among countries , which fully present the Chinese culture, positively integrate Chinese culture into their minds, form the positive interactions of Chinese culture from realizing and indentifying to practicing. All the efforts gain effectively outcomes.
