From October 16thto 18th, 121 student volunteers from our school went to Taiyuan Changfeng Business District and Binhe Sports Center， respectively, to carry out the volunteer service activities in 2020 Taiyuan International Marathon.
The 2020 Taiyuan International Marathon attracted more than five thousand entrants and the volunteer service lasted for 3 days. Our student volunteers were responsible for distributing supplies, registering information, offering service for the athletes, keeping the order, propagandizing and popularizing. They cooperated with each other and provided a strong guarantee for the race with beautiful smile, warm service and positive energy.
Volunteer Gao Shuzhen said, “It was the first time for me to take part in marathon race as a volunteer. I saw the players of different ages including many more than 60 years old grandma and grandpa who insisted on running a marathon. I was deeply affected by the persistence and perseverance of marathon runners, and the hard work of many volunteers.”
The dedication of the young volunteers reflects the spirit of “Dedication, Friendship, Mutual assistance and Progress”, and also fully demonstrates the vigor and vitality of the young volunteers of Shanxi Medical University.
