On September 6^th,more than 40 alumni representatives from America, Australia, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong attendedthe centennial celebration symposium on school innovation and developmentin the Zhongdu campus of Shanxi Medical University. The meeting was hosted by ProfessorWang Hongwei, the Vice President and member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the university.

Professor Wang Hongwei first expressed his warm welcome to all the alumni representatives who came back to school to participate in the100^th-anniversary celebrations. Then, he introduced the current situation and development of our school in recent years, including the construction of teaching facilities and the envision of the development towards a high-level research-teaching medical university. He hoped the representatives could offer valuable views and opinions for the further development of our school inthe future.

In the meeting, the alumni representatives conveyed their sincere blessings to our school at the historic event.Then, the representatives provided lots of valuable suggestions for the improvements inthe university subject ranking, development direction, medical personnel training, participation in national key researchand the research on new drugs. Moreover, they suggested to set up a long-term communication system to collect the information abroad which would benefit the development of our school.

At the end of the meeting, Professor Wang Hongwei expressed his gratitude to all alumni for their deep affectionandsupport for the alma mater. He sincerely wished all the alumni a happy life and a successful career.
