In order to guide the broad masses of students to further understand and serve their hometowns, recently, a summer "Sanxiaxiang" social practice team, composed of 17 young students from the Medical Imaging College of Shanxi Medical University, went to Liujiabao Township, Xiaodian District, Taiyuan City to carry out practical activities.

During the activity, the members of the practice team conscientiously studied the guiding ideology and working requirements of the school's practical activities of "three going to the countryside", discussed and determined the tasks and schedule of the practical activities, and made serious preparations from the aspects of activity safety, the establishment of temporary League branches, the division of labor and cooperation of each group, and carried out comprehensive quality training for all members.

After entering the village, the team members immediately went to the village committee and asked the staff about the medical situation in the village. After learning that most of the elderly can not have regular physical examinations, the team members began to arrange the free clinic site, ready to use the medical knowledge and skills they have learned to provide services to the health of the masses in a down-to-earth manner.

During the free clinic, the team members were divided into six groups to measure the height and weight of the villagers, olfactory test, vision test, color weakness test, blood glucose and blood pressure were measured. It is worth mentioning that the practice team also specially applied for portable ultrasound equipment, and graduate students conducted B-ultrasound examination for the villagers. Everyone's gentle and friendly service attitude and professional and responsible work skills have won the praise of the villagers.

In this practical activity, the students actively practiced the concept of "the ego is integrated into the self and the youth is dedicated to the motherland" with practical actions, which fully embodies the public welfare heart of contemporary college students who care about the grass roots and serve the public, and shows the elegant demeanour of contemporary youth.
