On New Year's Eve, a special and significant time in the hearts of Chinese people, students are looking forward to reuniting with their family members and enjoying the moment together. However, there are always some medical students who choose to stay at school due to their clinical duty or experimental needs during the Spring Festival.

On February 1, the Fifth Clinical Medical College of our university organized the regular trainees and interns in the hospital to make jujube buns and make dumplings to celebrate the holiday. The canteen was decorated with lanterns and colored hangings. The red Fu characters and pictures of the Year of the Tiger made every student feel the happiness of the New Year.

On the 28th day of the twelfth lunar month, steaming jujube buns is one of the more grand ceremonies for northerners to celebrate the new year, which implying auspiciousness and beauty. The students made goldfish, tigers and flowers themselves to express their expectations and blessings for the comingyear, and Inheritance of Chinese culture.

Teachers and students also make dumplings together. Dumplings of different regional styles exuded the flavor of hometown and delivered the blessings to their families and yearning for next year.

Cao Xiaoqing, the director of the Graduate Work Department of School, sent New Year's greetings to all medical students staying at school on behalf of the school, wishing the students a happy and meaningful Spring Festival and academic success in the new year.

Zhou Yun, the vice dean of the college, expressed her gratitude to the students who have made contributions to the hospital over the past year. She pointed out that as a doctor, it was the professional mission and our common goal to escort the health of the people. We all should keep on this original aspiration and stick to our duty to take care of patients even during the Spring Festival. She then sent out best wishes to the students for the new year and better academic results!
