On April 7th, the Convergence of Wisdom in SXMU — Talent Forum Academic Presentation was held in the Lecture Hall on the first floor of the Administration Building in Zhongdu Campus. Prof. Li Renke, an academician of the Canadian Academy of Life Sciences, gave an report. Representatives from relevant departments of the school, new doctoral teachers, current doctoral and master's students, and senior undergraduate students attended the meeting. Cai Rui, Minister of the Talent Work Department of the SXMU Party Committee, presided over the report meeting.

Based on his scientific researchin the cardiovascularfield,Prof.Li Renke introducesthe hazards of cardiovascular disease, the synthesis and design of biomaterials, and their application in cardiovascular diseasesin vivid detail and in simple terms. He not only described the efficacy and safety ofthem in repairing myocardial infarction or ischemia-reperfusion injury and the efficacy and mechanism of improving arrhythmia, but also analyzed their application status and clinical application prospects in cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, he shared with the teachers and students how to carry out scientific research topics, how to choose a good topic and how to do scientific research.The wonderful reportembodies the depth and connotation, and highlights the feelings and responsibilities, thus winning the applause of the audience.
Cai Rui introduced the profound friendship and origin between Prof.Li Renke and our school, and reviewed the all-round communication and cooperation between Prof.Li Renke and ouruniversity.He thanked Prof. Li for his contribution to the school in student training, the establishment of PI team and the Center for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine. He also wished Prof. Li to build a demonstration base of cell regeneration and tissue repair with international advanced level in our school, so as to establish a model project of high-tech pharmaceutical product development in Shanxi and even the whole country, and promote the rapid development of biomedical industry in our province.
