Shi Lianhua (Indonesian), a 2019 undergraduate student majoring in clinical medicine at our university, won the Excellence Award, while LiYanxin, a young teacher at the School of International Education, won the “Award for Outstanding Instructor”.The China ASEAN Education Exchange Week is jointly hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, and the People's Government of Guizhou Province. It is an important international exchange platform with education as the theme, promoting cultural and educational exchanges and development between China and ASEAN regions. This year's "China ASEAN University Student Tourism Image Ambassador Selection Competition" is one of the annual naming activities of the "China ASEAN Education Exchange Week", aimed at promoting Chinese tourism culture, showcasing the image of China ASEAN university students, deepening interaction, enhancing friendship, and strengthening the cultivation of tourism talents for both sides.This competition attracted international students from 15 universities across the country to participate. The 20 contestants who advanced to the final are from 10 universities including Jiangsu University, Guangxi University, Guizhou University, as well as 9 countries including Laos, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Uganda, and France.After intense competitions such as showcasing her charm, recommending tourist attractions, answering questions about tourism knowledge, and showcasing her talents, 施莲花won the first place of the Excellence Award with her steady typhoon, excellent Chinese singing, and familiar introduction to the scenic spots.Shi Lianhuasaid, "Through this competition, I have gained more knowledge of China's beautiful landscape. I hope I can visit all the beautiful places in China. ASEAN is China's good neighbor, good partner, and good friend to jointly build the" the Belt and Road ".
