On the morning of February 17th, Wang Jun, Secretary of the University Party Committee, and Xie Jun, President of the university, met with Yang Xia, Chairman of Shanxi Jinbo Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., an outstanding alumna of our university, to discuss in-depth cooperation between the university and the enterprise. Vice President Zhang Yanbo and Zhao Wenjun, member of the University Party Committee and Vice President, attended the forum. Representatives from the university's office and the Department of Science and Technology also participated.

Wang Jun welcomed Yang Xia and her delegation and congratulated Jinbo Biopharmaceutical on its rapid development in recent years. He pointed out that Jinbo Biopharmaceutical and the university have a strong foundation for cooperation and extensive experience in long-term collaboration. He suggested that the two parties should deepen, strengthen, and broaden their cooperation in areas such as the co-construction of key laboratories, the training of talents in biopharmaceuticals, and the development of biological products to achieve greater mutual benefits. During the meeting, Wang Jun also had extensive discussions with Yang Xia on advancing organized scientific research through the reform of research institutions.

Xie Jun provided specific guidance on the joint construction of key laboratories in Shanxi Province and the establishment of the Shanxi Provincial Modern Biopharmaceutical Industry Institute. He emphasized that the integration of industry and education and the cooperation between the university and enterprises are important means to promote talent cultivation and scientific research innovation. He called for further expansion of cooperation channels, consolidation of the cooperation foundation, and innovation in cooperation models to achieve technological integration and resource sharing in platform construction, talent cultivation, and pharmaceutical research and development. This would facilitate the creation of an integrated platform for student cultivation, technological innovation, and drug development.

During the forum, both parties reached numerous agreements on the restructuring of the key laboratories in Shanxi Province, the establishment of the Industrial Institute, the cultivation of pharmaceutical talents, and the establishment of Jinbo Biopharmaceutical scholarships for outstanding students.

Jinbo Biopharmaceutical is a leading domestic enterprise in the humanized collagen industry. In 2023, it was listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange, becoming the first stock of "recombinant collagen" on the exchange. In recent years, our university has collaborated with Jinbo Biopharmaceutical to jointly build key laboratories in Shanxi Province, the Shanxi Provincial Modern Industrial Institute, and research institutions. The two parties have established a good cooperative relationship and a solid foundation for collaboration.
