On the morning of April 12, Jesper Bo Nielsen,the Dean of Department of Public Hygiene and Health Sciences from University of Southern Denmark, visited our university.

Wang Jun,thesecretary of Party Committe, met with the delegation from South Denmark University. He pointed out that Shanxi Medical University had a long history and shouldered the sacred mission of building a healthy Shanxi and a healthy China. He hoped that the two sides would actively promote strategic cooperation, build consensus and harmony relationship, and jointly contribute to the development of public health in the world. Director Nielsen said that Shanxi Medical University hadrich experience in the field of public health and hopedthat the two universitiescouldwork together to promote the development of public health in China and Denmark.

Liu Chun,the Vice President of the University attended the cooperation symposium and memorandum signing ceremony.Professor Jens Søndergaard,the Director of the Institute of General Medicine from University of Southern Denmark,the Secretary General of the ICC International Council of Europe, Dr. Eurail, and heads of relevant departments and departments of our university attended the forum. Focusing on the theme of international cooperation in public health and health sciences, the two sides exchanged views on cooperative education, scientific research cooperation, and personnel training. The two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding on International Cooperation in Public Health and Health Sciences, laying the foundation for further cooperation between the two universities.
